Day 3 - Through the Misty Mountains

The wispy clouds clawed their way down the mountainside, completely obscuring the peak. The atmosphere was heavy with the threat of another storm, and an air of mystery hung over the valley...

Today, we took a long, scenic drive through a magnificent mountain range. It was raining for the entire journey, and it gave the towering peaks a mystical feel. In my opinion, it was just as beautiful - if not more - than if the sun had been shining. And there was indeed something mysterious going on... for the moment we set foot in Eilean Donan Castle, the rain stopped and didn't start up again for the rest of the day.

I wonder who that could be...

All in all, a very tranquil day with a long drive through the wilderness.
