Day 12 - Dollar Glen

Hi everyone! We were planning to post this on the actual Day 12, but we had a few technical difficulties retrieving the photos, so we're posting it today! We arrived home safely yesterday and got a good night's sleep to recover from the jet lag, so we're all settled now.

Our Scotland trip was such an amazing experience, and we ended it off on a fairly relaxed note - we took a short drive out to a nature trail called Dollar Glen, where we discovered something we weren't expecting. There were actually some ruins out there - the ruins of Castle Campbell! It was a very quiet and lovely place, and there was quite a bit to check out. The surrounding forest and intermittent rain created a unique atmosphere, and I really enjoyed having a look around.

Because we are now finished our trip, this is going to be the last post of the blog. Thanks so much to everyone who's come to check out the amazing photos we've taken! I hope you enjoyed taking this journey with us!

Day 11 - Edinburgh

Hello everyone! We decided it would be best to post yesterday's post today, as we didn't get home until 1am. Yesterday was our big day in Edinburgh, so we browsed shops, checked out Edinburgh Castle, and attended 2019 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo late in the evening. The lights stood out brilliantly against the night sky, the fireworks were fantastic, and the performers were a sight to see. Also, it didn't rain for the whole performance - the sky was clear, and you could see the stars! It really was an unbelievable experience.

Day 10 - Blair Castle

Blair Castle was our destination today, and it was on the same level as Dunrobin. The castle itself was huge, with (I believe) about 30 rooms to look at! The gardens were fantastic, and the trees in Diana's Grove were amazing!

We also made a small stop at the Falls of Bruar on the way back to the hotel, and my dad took the trail to the falls to get some lovely photos.
